Highpass
A highpass filter passband consist of all frequencies above the 3dB cutoff to infinity and rejects below the 3dB cutoff frequency. The actual amount of attenuation for each frequency is a design parameter. While in theory the upper passband of the highpass should be infinite. Due to component parasitic it is greatly reduced. MicroAxiom has numerous designs that minimize the parasitic to achieve multi octave response.
